Job Description

EDUCATION
Minimum of a High School Diploma; an Associates of Science in Engineering or Technology is preferred (less experience could be acceptable with an A.S. Degree)
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Technical or Manufacturing support role. Employee may be required to demonstrate level of proficiency with Excel, Microsoft Word.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/EQUIPMENT USED
Good eyesight is necessary; employee must be able to satisfy the requirements of
A.I. M800, 01.14
Eye Exams at a minimum. Lifting/ maneuvering of Tooling or Support Tooling
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Problem solving abilities are important for analyzing problem situations and resolving them. Computer systems expertise is important because most of the duties involve computer programming. Also, the ability to use commercial software such as spreadsheets, word processors, and databases is important. Good communication and inter-personal skills are required to interface with all levels of personnel in plant.

JOB SUMMARY
The Tooling Management Technician works under the direction of the Production Engineering Manager/Tooling Manager to provide management and control of tooling to support engineering and manufacturing staff. They will maintain reports/records of tooling status for all active tools used for the manufacturing of ceramic cores to include tooling reworks/die coatings/in-coming new tooling (to include getting parts to PM301 qualification). Successfully demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within our organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
To maintain reporting status of all tools that have left the facility by providing dates of departure and return. To maintain reporting status of all tools that require re-coating by providing dates of departure and return. As new tooling arrives, responsible for input into engineering database and reviewing all documents for verification of markings to build instructions. To maintain reporting status and Casting House requirements of all New Tooling Invoices and the progress. Coordinate PM301 Core Inputs for monthly qualification and Core sampling for Casting Layout needs. With direction from Engineering Staff, write mold sheets to start qualification procedures. This will include follow-up and ensuring parts are flowing thru the process in a timely manner and reach Dimensional/Layout for measurement. Support Engineering with shipment of tooling, receiving in-coming tooling and re-qualification when needed. Work closely through communication with all levels of the organization to include Product Engineering, Manufacturing Staff, Casting Support and Staff Level Management. Communicate all relevant information to peers, customers, and management. Maintain a high attendance record. Perform all job duties in a safe and efficient manner. Perform other work-related duties as necessary.
