Job Description

Job Title:
First Shift Die Setter Job Description The Die Setter is responsible for safely and efficiently setting up, changing, and maintaining injection molds in a fast-paced Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment. This role ensures that production runs consistently meet quality standards, cycle-time targets, and customer specifications. The position is well suited for mechanically inclined individuals who are comfortable working with high-precision tooling, automated equipment, and injection molding processes. Responsibilities Set up, change, and maintain injection molds on production equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Read and interpret setup sheets, blueprints, and work instructions to complete accurate mold changes and machine setups. Use appropriate tools, including cranes and other lifting devices, to safely remove and install injection mold dies. Verify that machines and molds are properly set to meet quality standards, cycle-time targets, and customer specifications. Perform basic troubleshooting on mold and machine setups to resolve issues that impact quality or production efficiency. Inspect tooling and dies for wear, damage, or contamination and report issues to the appropriate personnel. Work closely with machine operators and maintenance personnel to support smooth production runs and minimize downtime. Follow all safety procedures when working with heavy equipment, oil, grease, and at heights. Maintain a clean and organized work area while handling dies, tools, and materials in a fast-paced environment. Document setup activities and communicate status updates to team members and leadership as required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.60 - $19.60/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
