Maintenance Staff

Job Summary Under general supervision, this position is responsible for operating and maintaining a tool crib and performing related duties as needed. Essential Job Functions Issue tools and equipment to maintenance personnel while accurately recording all issues and returns File, index, and update inventory records and track tools received from the stockroom Inspect new and repaired tools and equipment to ensure proper operation Prepare requisitions for repair or replacement of tools and equipment Prepare transmittals for tools and equipment sent to vendors for repair Perform routine inventory counts and cycle counts as required Conduct preventive maintenance and basic repairs on tools and equipment Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tool crib area Process purchase orders and check in incoming parts and materials Communicate with vendors to obtain comparison quotes and support purchasing needs Utilize CMMS or similar software systems to manage inventory and work orders Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment Physical Requirements Frequent communication (talking and listening) required Occasional standing, walking, sitting, climbing ladders/stairs, bending, kneeling, and reaching Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally Requires use of safety equipment including eye and hearing protection, hard hats, respiratory protection, and safety shoes Work may involve exposure to elevated noise levels where hearing protection is required
