Job Title:
Leather Holster Maker Job Overview:
Craft high-quality, custom leather holsters for firearms and accessories Work with various leather types to produce durable and functional products
Key Responsibilities:
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble leather and other materials to precise specifications Construct custom holsters based on customer or company requirements Perform hand-stitching, machine stitching, and finishing techniques (burnishing, dyeing, sealing) Mold leather to fit specific firearm models securely and safely Inspect finished products for quality, durability, and craftsmanship Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace in good condition Follow safety guidelines and proper handling procedures when working with firearm molds or replicas Collaborate with team members or clients on design adjustments and custom orders
Qualifications:
Experience in leatherworking, saddlery, or similar craft preferred Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Ability to read patterns, templates, or technical drawings Skilled in hand tools and sewing equipment used in leather production Basic understanding of firearm shapes and safety (preferred but not required) Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines Preferred Skills but not required: Experience with custom holster design and molding techniques Knowledge of different leather types and treatments Artistic ability or design sense for custom work
Work Environment:
Workshop and manufacturing setting May require standing for long periods and handling tools/equipment
