Job Description
Summary Analyzes and reviews blueprints, specifications, and other engineering data to design, lay out, and create short-run stamping dies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review blueprints and engineering data to determine manufacturability Calculate flat pattern layouts for metal stampings Design short-run, single-stage tooling Maintain and repair stamping dies and turret tooling Work with the press room and fabrication department to troubleshoot tooling issues Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker in the short-run metal stamping industry CNC machining experience is a plus Familiarity with bend allowance and bend deduction Knowledge of short-run stamping tooling methods Experience with Mastercam and SolidWorks is a plus Ability to work in a drug- and alcohol-free workplace
