Summary:
The ATP (Assistive Technology Professional) is responsible for completing patient assessments and evaluations for equipment, often in conjunction with a physician or therapist, home assessments, complex fittings, and maintenance of all related required documentation. This position provides enabling technology in the areas of wheeled mobility, seating and alternative positioning, ambulation assistance, environmental control, augmented communication and activities of daily living. In addition, this position will assist or oversee equipment technicians and internal staff assigned to custom equipment as appropriate. Education & Experience High School Diploma At least 2 years of DME equipment experience Must have excellent communication and customer service skills Must be able to load, unload, setup, and demonstrate any custom equipment being delivered. Must be familiar with the current regulatory environment in this field Must be knowledgeable on products available
Certification/Licensure:
Current RESNA (ATP) certification recognized in the state of Texas CPR certification required within 30 days of employment, if not currently CPR certified
