Job Description

CABINET & MILLWORK FINISH LEAD
We provide and install architectural millwork for hotels, restaurants, store fronts, TI's and other commercial projects. This includes but is not limited to: moldings, cabinets, casework, reception desks, wall panels etc. We are looking for a candidate with the skills and knowledge to provide quality products and the ability to communicate and coordinate with other trades when required.
Responsibilities:
  • Follows core values & motto of excellence
  • Supervise, direct, provide quality control, and lead team by coordinating schedule, daily tasks, shop operations, including sanding, assembly, and finishing
  • Train and develop team to ensure high performance and skill growth
  • Take ownership with production schedules to meet deadlines and customer requests
  • Ability to run and maintain cabinet shop equipment including spray machine, sander, spray guns, etc.
  • Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting and proper use of equipment
  • Oversee product quality and ensure adherence to maintain AWI standards
  • Ability to prepare products for finishing by sanding, filling imperfections, and ensuring smooth surfaces
  • Apply stain, toners, paint, topcoat, etc. to products according to specifications
  • Use brushes, sprayers, or other tools to apply finishes evenly and efficiently
  • Follow safety protocols and use protective equipment when working with chemicals or power tools
  • Ensure shop cleanliness and maintain an organized shop with an efficient workflow pattern
Experience:
  • Leading and preparing finishing products as requested
  • Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings and follow specifications accurately
  • Ability to read a measuring tape and operate hand tools and saws required for production
  • Safety training
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be able to be on feet most of the day
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to pass background and random drug tests
  • Must be dependable, reliable, and attention to detail in every project
  • Must be approachable and get along well with others
  • Must have good listening and verbal communication skills
Compensation:
  • Full time (hourly) wage
  • $25•30 per hour, depends upon experience
