Tru-Cut, LLC is the leading provider of quality die making and print finishing related services, supporting the entire Intermountain West Area. Located in Salt Lake City, we know how to deliver successful projects as we understand our customers' needs while we operate a world class facility. We use state-of-the-art equipment, hire the best talent, and continuously improve our processes. We meet our customers' needs for quality and on-time delivery. The die maker will be responsible for knifing and rubbering dies to meet daily production targets. They work with a team while keeping consistent speed and accuracy while maintaining production and quality standards. The die maker is always keeping an eye on ways of improving productivity without compromising quality and safety. Looking for the right individual to become part of our team. Someone who is willing to learn in a corrugated paper/die manufacturing environment. Must be willing to work overtime when needed and be willing to be crossed trained in other departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operating and maintaining machinery and production equipment with ability for minor repairs. Auto-bender and crimper experience. Reads and understands job order to verify production quantity, color sequencing, tolerance levels and obtains all required materials to complete job order. Follows production specifications, guidelines, and job orders for successful setup of machinery. Follows procedures for completion and review of finished products to meet customer and quality specifications. Inspects finished product for defects and changes setup to meet specifications. Keeps the production area clean, prepares machinery and equipment for use, works the production line as instructed, and follows health and safety guidelines. Responsible for following safe work environment guidance, including PPE compliance, fall protection, and all other safety policies and practices. Actively supports and drives the Company culture through work pride and accountability. Collaborates with management team to identify opportunities for improved processes. Performs other related duties as assigned.
CORE SKILLS
Ability to properly read and understand product specifications, SOPs, work instructions, quality guidelines, and packaging instructions. Detail-oriented, consistent, with a strong work ethic, and takes pride in their work. Ability to properly clean, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting on equipment. Actively participating as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals. Basic ability in mathematics, reading, and writing.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience as a Die Maker ideal but not required. Demonstrated success as a productive team member. Positive attendance record.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time. Ability to walk, kneel, bend, and use a ladder or stool. Ability to drive a forklift or use a pallet jack as required. Must have excellent hand-eye coordination. Must wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
