Job Description

The mission of Global Logistics Support Services, Incorporated (GLSS) is to provide Maintenance, Supply, Logistics, and Technical Support Services that meet or exceed customer requirements. GLSS delivers effective, quality services and builds customer satisfaction through continuous performance and process improvements. GLSS is

certified by NSF-ISR. Headquartered in Huntsville, Alabama, GLSS is a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of System Studies and Simulation, Inc (S 3 ). Global Logistics Support Services, (GLSS), an S³, Inc. company, has an immediate opening for a Tool and Parts Attendant at NAS Norfolk, VA. Military experience is a plus.
Duties:
Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in an industrial establishment. Maintains records of tools issued to and returned by workers, searches for lost or misplaced tools, prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed, unpacks and stores new equipment. Visually inspects tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors. Coats tools with grease or other preservative, using a brush or spray gun, and attaches identification tags. Engrave identifying information on tools and equipment using electric marking tool.
