ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILTIES
Proficiency using various hand and machine tools including but not limited to Mill, Lathe, Drill Press, Grinders, and various Saws to preform essential duties such as milling, drilling, reaming, countersinking, tapping, counterboring surface grinding, and sawing Set-up, program, operate, and upkeep CNC equipment Perform ruling and re-ruling of steel rule dies using both automated and manual bending equipment, disc sander, and surface grinder operations when necessary Determine which type(s) of tooling are required for a part profile and substrates. Layout or set-up new piercing or steel rule die constructions. Verify accurate part dimensions are in tolerance using micrometers, dial calipers, MicroVu, and other measuring equipment such as: indicators, gage blocks, gage pins. Troubleshoot and repair existing tooling when necessary Maintain an orderly, clutter free, and clean work area Understand equipment and techniques used to heat treat tool steels Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS A
high school diploma/HSED/GED. A minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing setting is desired. Ability to flex hours for coverage when needed is preferred. Attention to detail and strong people skills. Demonstrated ability to professionally communicate with internal customers and transportation companies. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge and experience working with computers. Microsoft Office experience is desired.
