Job Description

Brake Set Up Operator - 2nd Shift

Region:
Midwest (US) ETC in Middleton is looking for the newest Brake Set-Up Operator to join our team in the Metal Shop on 2nd shift! Our ideal candidate will have a mechanical aptitude, knowledge of basic tools, the ability to read blues, have greatmunication skills, and the desire to grow and develop new skills along the way. Come join our team in a well-lit, climate controlled, clean metal shop, and working 4 days a week!
Representative Responsibilities:
  • Manufactures parts to the timeframes, standards, and specifications set by the department
  • Sets up and operates press brakes and prepares work area
  • Follows procedures and selects tools and materials
  • Ensures work orders arepleted
  • Maintains expected productivity output levels andpletes assignments as scheduled
  • Ensures machines are running at full capacity for each job
  • Completes paperwork correctly, labels parts per work order and forwards the product to the next station
  • Accounts for time and workpleted via labor reporting
  • Ensures product quality meets standards
  • Builds parts to quality standards within specified tolerance as reflected on
  • Ensures proper tooling is used for the application
  • Follows ISO procedures
  • Uses appropriate documentation, e.g. ECRs, and NCMRs, to identify andmunicate issues
  • Completes machine maintenance in a timely manner
  • Completes scheduled maintenance
  • s all identified problems to the team leader or manager
  • Informs team lead or manager of tooling needs
  • Ads to safety standards at all times
  • Ensures that safe methods and practices are used
  • Abides by safety procedures, work practice controls, and OSHA guidelines
  • Wears personal protective equipment as required
  • Identifies and reports safety issues to management
  • Learns new tasks and procedures as needed.
  • Listens to, understands and follows instructions while learning new assignments
  • Recognizes unusual circumstances and asks questions when necessary
  • Maintains a clean andanized work environment.
  • Ensures after task ispleted, floor is swept and tools are returned to designated area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years experience with metal shop equipment
  • 6 -12 months of similar experience setting up and maintaining metal shop equipment
  • Knowledge of various metal shop machines
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Good math skills
  • Goodanizational skills
  • CNC (Computer Numerical Control) skills
  • Able to read blue s
  • Able to read measuring devices
  • Basic English skills to understand quality, safety, work instructions, personnel information, andplete departmental paperwork
  • Proven ability to understand and follow directions
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
