TIG Welder Select Technical Staffing - 5.0 Milwaukee, WI Job Details Full-time $30 - $32 an hour 4 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Basic math High school diploma or GED Grinding tools Lifts and hoists Pneumatic systems Power tools Hand tools Polishing Machine finishing Full Job Description The Welder performs TIG welding to assemble stainless steel products ensuring the highest possible quality at the lowest possible cost, while meeting customer specifications and delivery requirements and company performance standards, in accordance with the organization's Code Of Conduct and Operating and Guiding Principles, and maintaining a positive work atmosphere by his/her behavior and communications to others. Primary Responsibilities 1. Using open table layout, perform TIG welding of custom cafeteria counters i.e. frames, food shields and other subassemblies. 2. Have a strong background in reading blueprints and drawings. 3. Have the ability to perform a layout of components to produce a quality product according to procedures while meeting specifications. 4. Must communicate effectively with fellow team members as well as the Engineering group. 5. Must be familiar with the use of basic machinery and hand tools i.e. cutting tubes to length, drill and tapping. 6. Perform all grinding, buffing and polishing operations to bring products into specifications. 7. Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc. 9. Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards. 9. Assist with assembly operations in other areas as needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Requires a high school diploma/GED equivalent, plus 3-5 years related experience 2. Must be able to operate pneumatic and power tools, welding equipment, polishers, buffers, and lift equipment. 3. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 4. Must be able to successfully pass forklift certification.
