Job Summary Operation and maintenance of a water treatment facility Room and board provided Responsibilities Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) to manage water treatment processes efficiently. Conduct routine inspections and perform maintenance on pumps, filters, valves, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collect and analyze data related to water quality parameters, system performance, and chemical dosing to maintain compliance with regulatory standards. Perform heavy equipment operation including tankers, pumps, and construction machinery as needed for system upgrades or repairs. Troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance on treatment plant equipment. Assist with plumbing tasks and basic math calculations for chemical dosing and system adjustments. Support wastewater treatment processes by monitoring flow rates, sedimentation tanks, and filtration units while adhering to safety protocols involving heavy lifting and construction activities.
