  • We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Wastewater Maintenance Technician 2 to join our team.
This position involves performing advanced maintenance and repair tasks on wastewater treatment equipment and facilities to ensure efficient operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, hands-on experience in facility maintenance, and a commitment to environmental safety and compliance.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on wastewater treatment systems, pumps, motors, and related equipment.
Troubleshoot system malfunctions and implement solutions to ensure continuous and efficient operation. Conduct preventative maintenance to avoid costly system failures and reduce downtime. Collaborate with team members to optimize treatment processes and improve system performance. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and any irregularities encountered. Assist in the installation and calibration of new equipment and systems as required. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations and guidelines. Respond to emergency situations and provide technical support as needed. Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a wastewater treatment facility or similar environment.
Technical certification or associate degree in environmental science, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred, Ability to obtain ADEM Grade 1C Certification required. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Capacity to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as necessary. Physical ability to perform the required tasks, which may include lifting heavy equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
