This position requires extensive travel and hands-on field work. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, troubleshooting mechanical systems, operating pumps and water treatment equipment, collecting water samples, and interacting professionally with customers on job sites. Responsibilities Perform closed-loop chilled water system flushing, cleaning, passivation, and commissioning. Install, operate, and maintain temporary pumping and filtration equipment. Assist with glycol fills, chemical treatments, and water quality verification testing. Collect and analyze water samples for pH, conductivity, inhibitor levels, iron, bacteria, and other treatment parameters. Install and maintain side-stream filtration systems and water treatment equipment. Perform routine inspections of piping systems, heat exchangers, strainers, valves, pumps, and related mechanical equipment. Document project activities, test results, and chain-of-custody records. Troubleshoot water quality and mechanical system issues. Prepare field reports and communicate project status to project managers and clients. Follow all company and customer safety requirements, including LOTO and site-specific procedures. Travel to project locations throughout the United States for extended periods as required. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to travel up to 75
Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds. Comfortable working in mechanical rooms, construction sites, rooftops, and industrial environments. Basic mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Experience with water treatment, HVAC, chilled water, boiler, or industrial piping systems. Experience operating pumps, filtration equipment, and testing instruments. Knowledge of water chemistry and water treatment principles. Military mechanical, engineering, nuclear, or water treatment experience. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
