Job Description

Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Two-year Associate degree; equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree requirement
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years related experience. Requires broad knowledge of complex systems and procedures directly related to water treatment plant operations.
Licenses/Certifications/Special Requirements:
Arizona Dept. of Environmental Quality Grade IV Operator Certificate in Water Treatment upon hire Valid AZ Driver's License upon hire Preferred /
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience in a municipal or government setting Previous supervisory experience Degree in Water, Environmental Technology or related field Tell me more... Peoria's Water Services Department has an excellent opportunity for a Water Treatment Supervisor. This position oversees and evaluates water treatment plants and delivery system operations to ensure compliance and maintain processes at an optimal cost effective level. This position supervises the day-to-day operation of water treatment facilities, maintains on-call status for evaluation and problem solving of emergency situations, and monitors daily process trends to maintain good treatment. Additional responsibilities include managing allocated budget, overseeing plant construction projects, supervising staff, maintaining 24/7 shift schedule, and planning and scheduling maintenance activities. The ideal candidate for this position will have: Robust knowledge of water system and facility process control systems, techniques, and methods Previous supervisory experience in a municipal or government setting.
