Job Description

FIRST REVIEW OF APPLICATIONS WILL TAKE PLACE ON MARCH 17, 2026 SUMMARY
Incumbents are responsible for performing skilled work to video inspect, clean, maintain, and operate the collections system which includes pipelines, manholes, and lift stations. Incumbents assist workers, train others in the use of equipment and machinery, manage inventory, and keep records utilizing a computerized maintenance management system. Incumbents are responsible for the inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of the storm water system and components. Incumbents may direct and oversee work of Collections Operator I as directed by the supervisor or lead. This is the second level of the Collections Operator series. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or G.E.D., and two years of directly related wastewater collection system maintenance and operation experience. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B or higher with a tanker endorsement and Must have at time of hire and be able to maintain an Arizona State Grade 2 Wastewater Collection System Operator Certification Must obtain the Pipe Assessment Certification Program (PACP), Lateral Assessment Certification Program (LACP), and Manhole Assessment Certification Program (MACP) from National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) within 9 months of hire date.
