Job Description

The Bolinas Community Public Utility District (BCPUD) is a small, rural utility district serving the coastal community of Bolinas, California. The District operates a public water system, wastewater collection and treatment systems, a Septic/Drainage Program, and a Resource Recovery (green waste) facility. BCPUD is seeking a qualified, motivated individual to join its Operations Division in a hands-on role supporting essential public infrastructure. Position Overview BCPUD is recruiting to fill one full-time Operations position, with the level of appointment dependent on candidate qualifications and internal promotional opportunities. The position may be filled at one of the following classifications: Chief Plant Operator•regulatory compliance, treatment oversight, and technical leadership;
Gross Annual Pay:
$104,000•119,600, plus full Medical Benefits Project & Field Supervisor•field operations, maintenance supervision, and capital project management;
Gross Annual Pay:
$83,200•104,000, plus full Medical Benefits Shift Operator•system operations, maintenance, and emergency response;
Gross Annual Pay:
$62,400•83,200, plus full Medical Benefits Compensation & Benefits Salary dependent on position level and qualifications. Anticipated hourly ranges are as follows:
Shift Operator:
$30.00•$40.00 per hour
Project & Field Supervisor:
$40.00•$50.00 per hour
Chief Plant Operator:
$50.00•$57.50 per hour Placement within the range will be commensurate with experience, certifications, and demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position. Higher placement within each range is based on depth of experience, demonstrated performance, and, for supervisory classifications, proven ability to effectively manage operations and support staff. Upon approval and direction of BCPUD's Board of Directors, compensation may be adjusted outside of the listed ranges based on qualifications and District needs. This is a non-exempt, at-will position eligible for overtime in accordance with federal and state law. On-Call and Additional Compensation Participation in an on-call program with standby compensation: $62 per day (weekday on-call) $80 per day (weekend on-call) Additional compensation is provided for call-out work in accordance with District policy.
