Job Description

JOB Mission Springs Water District is currently accepting applications for a Water Operations Superintendent.
DEFINITION
Under general direction, oversees, plans, directs, and coordinates the operations and activities of the District's Construction and Maintenance Division, Water Production, and Field Service, as well as buildings, grounds, and fleet maintenance; organizes and directs the work of crews and personnel engaged in the installation, maintenance, and repair of water mains, sewer mains, meters, services, and related appurtenances to supply residential, commercial, and industrial water and sewer utilities; and performs related work as required. QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
Education:
➢ Possession of a high school diploma or G.E.D. required, supplemented by college level coursework in water operations and maintenance.
Experience:
➢ Seven (7) years of extensive experience in water distribution, including at least three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
Licenses and Certifications:
➢ Possession of a valid California Driver's License, to be maintained throughout employment. ➢ Possession of a valid Grade IV (D-4) Water Distribution System Operator Certificate, to be maintained throughout employment. ➢ Possession of a valid Grade II (T-2) Water Treatment Operator Certificate, to be maintained throughout employment. Please review the complete job description and qualifications at: https://www.mswd.org/jobs Salary Range• $ 122,491.20 to $156,790.40 Annually •a 2.91% COLA increase is scheduled to take effect July 1, 2026. Upon effect, the new salary range will be: $ 126,055.69 to $161,352.58 Annually. Regular Hours (9/80 work schedule): Monday - Thursday, 6:30am to 4:00pm (one half-hour lunch). Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm (one halfhour lunch). Every other Friday is a day off, for a total of 80 hours per pay period. This is a full-time, regular position with top-notch benefits.
