FSQA Supervisor Ontario, CA About the
Role:

FSQA Supervisor ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and Food Safety Standards and Policies while ensuring compliance with customer expectations and internal quality. Coordinates, plans, and executes the sanitation programs at the facility. Responsible for ensuring sustainment of the sanitation of the facility. The FSQA Supervisor may also assume some duties or projects on behalf of the FSQA Manager as needed.Pay Range:

8 hours plusKey Responsibilities:
Assist in development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures to support the Food Safety Plan. Back up SQF Practitioner for site. Supervise production floor involvement in operational tasks, GMP compliance, process flow enforcement and troubleshooting Overall operational responsibility for the Quality Assurance Department and associated programs Responsible for managing customer complaints by internal communication, conducting complaint investigations and responding to the customer in a timely manner. Responsible for managing the environmental monitoring program Ensure compliance with customer program requirements and specifications Ensures that all sanitation microbiological and allergen inspections are completed by the FSQA Team accordingly. Reviews of all obtained data to identify trends, reporting positive and/or negative trends to management Verify the work performed by Sanitation technicians and Janitorial team on a daily basis. Ensure the areas assigned have been cleaned properly and using the correct cleaning practices. Work together with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and other departments to ensure successful product changeovers. Ensure that Sanitors use correct color code equipment and tools throughout the sanitation process. Monitor the use of sanitation chemicals and notify the chemical company if/when additional cleaning materials or supplies are needed. Maintain a safe working environment by following established workplace health and safety procedures, including personal protective equipment usage, Lock Out/Tag Out processes, and chemical SDS handling guidelines. Ensures coverage for FSQA department when unavailable or absent from work. Ensure facility Master Sanitation Schedule is being performed on time and distributed evenly across shifts. Coordinate cleaning downtime for areas of the MSS that are of difficult access. Assist in validation projects for Sanitation procedures and CIP/passivation of processing lines Performs other related duties as assigned- Ensures the proper operation of the QA Laboratory, including equipment condition, calibration and proper use following
GLPs Supervision Exercised:
Participate in the hiring and training of team. Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of FSQA Leads and Technicians Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. Handles discipline of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.Environment:
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Hair and beard net, gloves, safety shoes, bump cap, smocks

- Bachelor's degree in food science, Chemistry or Biological Sciences is preferred
- Extensive and diversified background with at least 3 years of related experience in food manufacturing experience.
- Certification and application experience in Preventive Controls, SQF level III, GMP's and HACCP Plans (formal HACCP training and certification required)
- Supervisory experience required
- Leadership in management required.
- Cal OSHA Training certifications are preferred.
- Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
- Any relevant certifications Physical demands and abilities:
- Ability to maintain a safe and positive work environment.
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend twist, stoop, squat, and pivot.
- Ability to walk and stand for 8+ hour shifts.
- Combination of Plant and Office Environment. Regular exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold or chemicals
- This position spends 85% or more of the work time in the manufacturing plant.
