Job Description

The Cachuma Operation and Maintenance Board (COMB) is seeking a skilled individual who can, under direct supervision, assist with operation and maintenance of water transmission and storage facilities, valves and instrumentation, collect and record data, operate hand tools, mechanical equipment and vehicles. Must able to perform physically strenuous work, and work in underground confined spaces. COMB is a CalPERS employer and offers an excellent benefits package including health, dental and vision coverage. Mail a completed application to the Human Resources Department.

EXPERIENCE
: Water Service Worker I•Three years of experience in general maintenance, mechanical and/or construction work. Water Service Worker II•Three years of experience as a Water / Wastewater Operator certified through the State of California.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
: Water Service Worker I•Possession of or the ability to obtain a State of California Department of Health Services Water Distribution Grade D1 certificate within one year of appointment. Possession of or the ability to obtain a State Qualified Applicator's Certificate within six months of employment. Possession of a valid California driver's license and an insurable driving record. Water Service Worker II•Possession of a State of California Department of Health Services Water Distribution D2 certificate, or. Possession of a State of California Department of Health Services Water Distribution D1 certificate with the ability to obtain a State of California Department of Health Services Water Distribution D2 certificate within one year of appointment. Possession of or the ability to obtain a State Qualified Applicator's Certificate within six months of employment. Possession of a valid California driver's license and an insurable driving record.
