Job Description

This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a small group of hard-working individuals in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains to provide water and sewer services to residents, businesses, and ski resorts near Donner Summit. This entry-level position is a great chance for someone to gain exposure to all aspects of domestic water treatment and distribution, and wastewater collection and treatment. This position is well-suited for someone looking to obtain their Operator-In-Training (OIT) certificate and start a career in water and wastewater treatment and operations. I. Minimum Requirements This is an entry-level position in the Operator series. Initially, positions in this class typically have little or no directly related work experience. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Applicants must possess a valid California drivers license and obtain a wastewater operator-in-training certificate within three months. Benefits and Wages Wage Range:
$30.00-$35.00 per hour
Medical:
The district pays the medical premium for employees and families.
Retirement:
The district funds a money-purchase pension plan for the benefit of employees and does not participate in CalPERS. A voluntary deferred compensation plan is also available.
