Ensures sanitation and food safety standards are achieved, in compliance with both Regulatory and GFSI scheme. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leader of all
HACCP/HARPC
programs related to Sanitation and SSOP (Sanitation Standard Operational Practices)
  • General plant housekeeping and manage the 3rd Party IPM (Integrated Pest Management) Will need to obtain a commercial licensed applicator (core and 10c).
  • Communicates job expectations and provides direct supervision; planning, monitoring and evaluating job results; coaching, counseling, training and disciplining employees; enforces systems, policies and procedures.
  • Inspects and evaluates the overall appearance both inside and outside of the Bakery facility; advises departments of any corrective actions which need to be taken, as necessary.
  • Evaluates the need for new and additional food safety and sanitation programs.
  • Supervises the Bakery wastewater operations. Ensures compliance with federal and local regulations.
  • Supervises cleaning of equipment and machines through disassembly and reassembly procedures per
HACCP/HARPC/SSOP
guidelines and schedules in accordance with production operations.
  • Able to operate aerial lifts and forklifts
  • Creates and manages budget information for fiscal year for Sanitation labor and supplies for the Bakery
  • Performs ATP Swab testing for Sanitation Verification
  • Order Supplies using SAP System
  • Maintains proper staffing to operate the shift in compliance with union work rules.
  • Conduct weekly scheduling
  • Directs training/retraining to ensure employees can perform the job competently and safe.
  • Records and reports employee performance issues. Follows through with corrective actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by appropriate management.
  • Work with vendors and manage projects as necessary
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience equivalent to:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma required, BS Degree in a Science desirable. 3 or more years of Sanitation Supervisory experience in a food processing facility.
PCQI Preferred Experience:
  • Thorough knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food safety procedures
  • Proper handling of sanitation chemicals
  • Knowledge of food operations and production equipment preferred
  • Leadership skills in a union environment Computer skills-proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) Additional Software used for the position: SAP and iMaint (WO system) and
