Job Description
Town of Silt is looking for a team player to fill the full-time position at our Water/Wastewater Department. This position is a level I that performs work in the field and at the water and wastewater plant. Work in the field will be on a regular basis including such tasks as meter reading, repairing, fire hydrant maintenance and flushing. Collecting water samples for laboratory testing and arranging delivery of such. Assisting with repairs inside and outside of the plants. Grounds maintenance and general clean up duties. Such employee shall learn the workings of both plants efficiently enough to be worked into the on-call schedule with the other operators at the departments. Complex water process control and quality analysis within a laboratory and plant environment to ensure compliance with regulatory and departmental standards. Work involves responsibility for the care and efficient operation of the water and wastewater treatment plants, and associated distribution/collections systems. Starting salary $50,960.00 to $62,400.00, plus full benefit package.
