East Hartford, Connecticut Job Description As a Wastewater Treatment Operator, you will work across various areas of the treatment facility and collaborate closely with operations staff, maintenance personnel, laboratory technicians, and regulatory agencies to ensure the safe and efficient treatment of wastewater. Responsibilities include monitoring and controlling treatment processes, operating and maintaining equipment, collecting and analyzing samples, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The Wastewater Treatment Operator is involved in all phases of plant operations, from daily process monitoring and troubleshooting to preventive maintenance activities, documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
Provide accurate filing and recordkeeping according to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Ensure assigned facilities are properly operated and maintained within customer, regulatory, permit and contract requirements.
Conduct sampling and field analysis as required by corporate, local, state and federal rules and regulations.
Regularly communicate with Lead Operator & Operations Supervisor on all activities related to assigned facilities.
Qualifications
Grade 2 license or greater
OSHA 10 required
