Job Description

Full-Time Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator The City of Key Colony Beach is seeking a qualified Full-Time Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to perform skilled technical work in the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and repair of the City's wastewater treatment facilities and collection systems.

Responsibilities Include:

Operating and monitoring wastewater treatment equipment and systems Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance Monitoring SCADA and telemetry systems Collecting samples and performing laboratory testing Maintaining operational logs and compliance records Responding to emergencies, alarms, and after-hours callouts Assisting with pumps, motors, valves, and treatment equipment maintenance Ensuring compliance with FDEP, EPA, and OSHA regulations

Minimum Qualifications:

Able to work independently with limited supervision High School Diploma or GED Valid Florida Driver's License Florida Wastewater Treatment Operator License preferred Experience in wastewater treatment operations or utilities maintenance preferred Ability to work weekends, holidays, and emergency assignments as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

SCADA system experience Mechanical or electrical maintenance experience Knowledge of wastewater collection systems and pumps Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) wastewater system experience Integrated Surge Anoxic Mix (ISAM) wastewater system experience

Class C Wastewater Operator License Benefits Include:
