Full-Time Job Summary Ben Tech LLC is seeking a motivated and dependable Water & Wastewater Operator Trainee to join our growing utility operations team. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals interested in building a long-term career in the water and wastewater industry. The successful candidate will receive hands-on training in the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of water treatment, wastewater treatment, collection, and distribution systems while working under the supervision of licensed operators. Ben Tech LLC specializes in utility operations, management, and consulting services throughout Florida. The ideal candidate must be willing to study, complete required training, and obtain a Florida Water or Wastewater Operator License by passing either State Board Exam within one (1) year of employment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist licensed operators with the daily operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities. Learn water treatment, wastewater treatment, collection system, and distribution system processes. Perform routine inspections of pumps, motors, lift stations, wells, tanks, and treatment equipment. Collect water and wastewater samples and assist with laboratory testing. Monitor plant performance, system flows, and operational data. Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports. Assist with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment. Respond to system alarms, emergencies, and operational issues as directed. Follow all company safety policies and regulatory requirements. Participate in on-the-job training, classroom instruction, and certification preparation courses. Maintain a professional attitude and willingness to learn new skills. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor as needed. Basic computer skills. Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn. Mechanical aptitude is preferred but not required. Previous utility, construction, maintenance, or industrial experience is a plus. Certification Requirement Candidates must be willing to: Complete all required training and coursework. Study for and pass either the Florida Drinking Water Operator or Florida Wastewater Operator State Certification Exam within twelve (12) months of hire.
