Full-time Job Description:
Work with Safety & Compliance to ensure compliance with all city, county, state and federal wastewater standards. This would include, but not limited to, monitoring all chemical feeds to achieve proper operating pH's and ORP's by adding appropriate chemicals as needed. Understanding of chemical composition. Will be required to move heavy drums (600 lbs) of chemicals and/or solutions to various locations throughout the facility with the use of lifting and moving equipment: forklift, pallet jack, hand truck and dollies. Will be required to operate the filter presses and remove the sludge cakes when full. Monitor water tank levels and perform maintenance as needed to maintain safety standards. Responsible for all safety issues associated with the waste treatment area, under the guidance of Safety & Compliance that meet OSHA and DEP standards. Perform preventive maintenance on Machinery. Keep logs of chemicals being used and distributed throughout the production area. Monitor and clear floor of chemical drums and label for Hazardous Waste pickup. Work with the Safety Committee on punch list items to keep chemicals and wastewater treatment in compliance with city, county, state and federal agencies. Interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written. Required to communicate with all levels of management. Will be required to perform other duties as may be assigned.Preferred Experience:
Familiar with reverse osmosis water production systems, including the cleaning and maintenance of the filtering system, both chemically and mechanically. Pool Technician- mix chemicals for proper pH levels.
