Water/Sewer Repair Team Labor and Equipment Operator

Job Summary Join our dynamic Water and Sewer Repair Team as a Labor and/or Equipment Operator, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing essential water and sewer infrastructure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment, perform skilled construction tasks, and ensure the safe, efficient operation of utility systems. You will be instrumental in supporting infrastructure projects, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the reliable delivery of clean water and proper sewage management. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, front loader trucks, forklifts, and pipe lasers to excavate, install, repair, or maintain water and sewer pipelines. Read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and utility maps to accurately execute project tasks. Perform concrete finishing and concrete forming work for infrastructure repairs or new installations. Conduct utility locating to identify underground pipes and cables before excavation to prevent damage. Use welding skills for pipe repairs or modifications as needed on job sites. Assist with pipeline installation, plumbing connections, and trenching activities following safety protocols. Support construction site activities by maintaining a clean work environment and ensuring all equipment is operated safely and efficiently. Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving pipeline repairs or upgrades in various environments including oil & gas facilities if applicable. Experience Prior experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, or front loader trucks is highly preferred but will train the right person willing to learn it. Demonstrated knowledge of, utility locating, concrete finishing, and pipeline installation techniques. Construction site experience working on water or sewer infrastructure projects is a strong plus but will train if needed. Familiarity with construction safety standards and procedures related to heavy equipment operation and utility work. Skills in plumbing or oil & gas industries are advantageous but not mandatory.
