Role:
Sanitation Supervisor As a Sanitation Supervisor, you will be responsible for the real-time execution of sanitation processes on the plant floor. This is a salaried, front line supervisory role where you will directly oversee Team Leads and hourly Sanitation Technicians. Your focus will be on driving strict safety standards, verifying the chemical and technical accuracy of cleaning solutions, and ensuring the shift meets all regulatory requirements. You will work directly under the guidance of the Site Manager, balancing technical execution with active team supervision.
What You'll Do Oversee Floor Operations:
Direct daily shift activities, coordinating the efficient disassembly, cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembly of complex food production machinery.
Lead Frontline Teams:
Directly supervise, coach, and support Team Leads and hourly Sanitation Technicians to ensure high-quality execution.
Manage Sanitation Chemistry:
Conduct and verify chemical titrations to ensure all cleaning and sanitizing solutions meet strict regulatory and compliance parameters.
Champion Safety & Compliance:
Drive adherence to OSHA standards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), HAZCOM, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Inspect and Validate:
Perform rigorous pre-operational and mid-shift inspections to verify equipment readiness and allergen cross-contamination control.
Execute Technical Sanitation:
Enforce Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs) tailored to heavily regulated USDA and FDA environments.
Provide Lean Admin Support :
Handle minimal administrative tasks as directed by the Site Manager, such as logging chemical titration logs, attendance tracking, and shift safety sheets.
What You Bring Experience:
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in a food processing facility (USDA/FDA regulated environment required). 1+ years of experience in a team lead, coordinator, or stepped-up supervisory capacity within food safety or sanitation.
Technical Sanitation Expertise:
Deep working knowledge of SSOPs, 7 steps of sanitation, wet/dry cleaning methodologies, and chemical titration/safety protocols.
Safety Credentials:
Proven mastery of OSHA safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space (if applicable), and HAZCOMM protocols.
Bilingual Preferred:
English/Spanish fluency is strongly preferred to support and coach frontline teams.
Adaptability:
Willingness to work dynamic shifts (primarily nights, weekends, and holidays) within challenging plant environments (hot, cold, wet, loud). Core Competencies for
