Job Description
Sanitation Supervisor (Food Manufacturing/Production, Industrial setting)
We are seeking a knowledgeable and hands on Sanitation Supervisor to lead sanitation operations within our food manufacturing facility.
This role ensures that all equipment, production areas, and sanitation processes meet the highest standards of food safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate is detail oriented, safety driven, and experienced in food manufacturing sanitation practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily sanitation activities in accordance with SSOPs and company standards.
Ensure all Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Review, maintain, and audit sanitation documentation, addressing any gaps or inconsistencies.
Maintain all process and cleaning logbooks and binders, ensuring compliance with SSOPs and cGMPs.
Assign sanitation tasks based on operational priorities and production needs.
Create or update SSOPs to reflect current best practices and regulatory expectations.
Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble processing equipment including hoppers, mixers, enrobers, swecos, conveyors, scoops, and other machinery.
Prepare and measure cleaning and sanitizing solutions per instructions from the Sanitation Manager or chemical provider.
Apply working knowledge of GFSI, HACCP, FDA, SQF, GMP, and GDP requirements.
Maintain oversight of the Pest Management Program.
Read and interpret CIP system outputs and troubleshoot CIP issues as needed.
Bilingual ability preferred.
Required Experience and QualificationsWe need those with 3 to 5 or more years of both HANDS ON and Team direction/ supervisory experience, specifically with plant/facility sanitation experience and targeted experience in a food manufacturing environment with direct familiarity with production or packaging operations, equipment, regulations, etc.
High School Diploma or equivalent, with advanced certifications or training a plus.
Ability to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram based instructions.

PRIORITY CONSIDERATION
given to those with direct experience working with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) inspectors onsiteStrong understanding of GMPs, HACCP Regulations, FSQ and FSQA Regulations and duties.High School Diploma or equivalent, with advanced certifications or training a plus.
Ability to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram based instructions.
