Vandalia, IL area ( WORKIS ONSITE, NO
Remote/Hybrid options)Job Type:
Direct Hire/Full Time - Mon - Friday Day Shift ( occasional Saturday work when needed, off hours support when needed)We are seeking a hands-on, Lead/Supervisor level industrial systems Maintenance, Repair and Troubleshooting professional with direct Steam Boiler and Wastewater Utilities experience to take on a key role at our manufacturing facility as a Supervisor to lead daily operations of plant utility systems in a manufacturing environment.This role oversees steam boilers, wastewater treatment, and utility technicians while ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations, product quality and availability and safety for all employees/visitors at our site.
In this role, your day to day, Key Responsibilities will include:
Supervise operation and maintenance of steam boilers, water, and wastewater systemsLead and develop a team of utility technicians and operatorsMonitor system performance and troubleshoot equipment and process issuesEnsure compliance with environmental and safety regulationsCoordinate preventive maintenance and system upgradesMaintain records for water treatment, emissions, and dischargeDrive continuous improvement in efficiency, reliability, and cost controlEnforce OSHA and plant safety standards including lockout tagoutRequired Qualifications5 plus years experience with industrial steam boilers and wastewater systems2 plus years leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing or industrial settingStrong knowledge of boiler operations, water chemistry, and treatment systemsAbility to read and interpret P&IDs and technical manualsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Miura and Hurst boiler systems strongly preferredBoiler Operator License or Stationary Engineer certificationWastewater Operator CertificationExperience with automated controls or SCADA systemsBackground in food and beverage, chemical, pharma, or heavy manufacturing.
