Job Description

Sewer Operators/Foreman Job Summary Sewer Foreman/Operators-$25/hour+ (Experience required) Harvey Construction is a Noblesville IN based construction company. We are looking for Sewer Foreman/Operators, Laborers for Waterline and Sewer, and Heavy Equipment Operators.
Sewer Operator Job Summary:
Install and repair sanitary sewer lines, lift stations, pumps, manholes, and all related facilities. Dig and refill ditches, loads dirt, and construction materials using light to heavy motorized equipment. Prepare field notes and activity reports. Perform other job duties as assigned.
Sewer Operator Requirements:
Materials, methods, practices, and equipment used in the wastewater field. Layout and location of City streets, sewer lines, and lift stations. Occupational and public health hazards and safety practices. City's functions, policies, and procedures. Written and oral communications skills. Follow and relay complex oral and written instructions, policies and procedures. Use and care of tools and equipment employed in the installation and repair of sewage lift stations Operate a variety of office equipment, including computer terminal, printer, calculator, fax, typewriter, and copier. Operate specialized equipment. Perform operator maintenance and inspections on specialized equipment. Establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with utility customers, contractors, and the general public. Read maps and technical drawings. Work without direct supervision. Work in extreme weather with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, gases, chemicals, solvents, grease or oils, electrical energy, slippery surfaces, uneven surfaces, in or with moving objects, and odors. May be exposed to confined space entry, use of self-contained breathing apparatus, heights (up to 60 feet), depths down to 26 feet, vibrations, and poor lighting.
