Job Title:
Quality Supervisor Job Description We are seeking a Quality Supervisor with a clear understanding of FDA-GMPs and SQF standards related to sanitation. The role involves ensuring proper execution of sanitation programs and recommending changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. You will conduct daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation and housekeeping inspections and monitor pest activity both informally and formally. Additionally, you will participate in training team members on correct sanitation procedures and develop new procedures to address new processes or challenges. Responsibilities Execute the overall Plant Sanitation program as outlined in the Quality Assurance manual. Conduct sanitation and housekeeping inspections using structured inspection forms. Monitor pest activity and report findings based on sanitation inspections and QA Checklists. Train team members in sanitation procedures and develop new procedures as needed. Provide leadership and guidance to ensure the fulfillment of the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS). Lead the development and alteration of Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs) for all operations. Essential Skills Clear understanding of FDA-GMPs and SQF standards related to sanitation. Experience in pet food or food manufacturing quality and sanitation. Microbial swabbing experience. SQF and EMP experience. Supervisor experience with at least 3 years in food manufacturing. Bilingual capabilities. Additional Skills & Qualifications Execution of the overall Plant Sanitation program as per the Quality Assurance guidelines. Leadership in developing SSOPs for all phases of the operation. Work Environment This position operates during the day shift, with a team of six people reporting to you. Five of these team members are also on the day shift, while one is on the third shift from 11 PM to 7 AM. The role requires availability on-call for emergencies. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 4 PM. Initially, you will report directly to a superior until a new Quality Manager is appointed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
