On-Call Required Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Licensed Water & Wastewater Operator to support the safe and efficient operation of water supply and wastewater systems. This role is responsible for maintaining system performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting reliable service through daily operations and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily inspections of water and wastewater system components to ensure proper operation.
• Perform required testing and analyses on water supply and wastewater discharge, maintaining accurate records for regulatory compliance.
• Complete utility locates and perform system readings and re-reads as needed.
• Perform repairs on water and sewer lines, as well as mechanical and basic electrical systems within scope of capability.
• Maintain proper sewer flow, identify blockages, and coordinate additional support when necessary.
• Perform preventive maintenance in accordance with established procedures and standards.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments.
• Follow all safety protocols and utilize required personal protective equipment at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to support daily operations and system reliability.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergencies as required.

Qualifications:

• Active Water & Wastewater Operator License required.
• Strong knowledge of water and wastewater system operations.
• Ability to perform mechanical and basic electrical repairs.
• Understanding of safety practices and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency situations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
