Manager, Water & Wastewater Easton Utilities is seeking a Manager of Water and Wastewater to oversee the operation, maintenance, and long-term planning of the potable water and wastewater systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, regulatory and operational expertise, and proven leadership skills to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective utility services for our customers and community.
HIRING RANGE
$146,298.00 annually or higher depending upon experience
JOB OBJECTIVE
Plan, organize, direct, and control the operation and maintenance functions for the Potable Water System and Wastewater System in order to provide superior quality water and wastewater services to customers, in compliance with state and federal Regulations. This is a full-time, exempt position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must have 5 years of leadership (supervisory or management) experience along with technical experience and knowledge of potable water supply and treatment, water distribution, wastewater collection, and enhanced nutrient removal (ENR) wastewater treatment. Experience preparing capital and operational forecasts. Experience in planning and implementation of capital improvement and maintenance projects. Qualification for certification as a Class 3 Water Treatment Plant Superintendent and a Class 5A Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent by the Maryland Board of Waterworks and Waste Systems Operators is preferred. Must be able to work well with the public. Must be able to plan, organize, direct, and control the activities of employees assigned to perform the work. Must have a valid driver's license.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Must have high school diploma or equivalent. BS in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have the physical capabilities to be actively involved in field water and wastewater projects. Must wear proper PPE at all times.
