Job Description

Production & Sanitation Supervisor (3rd shift) Position Summary The Production & Sanitation Supervisor - 3rd Shift is responsible for leading all overnight manufacturing and sanitation activities to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. This role oversees production performance, facility cleanliness, and team execution to support product quality, operational readiness, and continuous workflow. The supervisor ensures that production goals are achieved while maintaining a clean, organized, and audit-ready environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all 3rd shift operations, including production processes and sanitation activities, to meet performance, quality, and cleanliness standards Monitor production lines and facility conditions, addressing operational, equipment, or sanitation issues in real time Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety requirements Lead cleaning and sanitation efforts to maintain a safe, compliant, and audit-ready facility for next-day operations Verify completion and effectiveness of sanitation procedures, documentation, and cleaning schedules Collaborate with maintenance to resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including production output, downtime, waste, and sanitation effectiveness Supervise, coach, and develop team members, providing direction, training, and performance feedback Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and attendance standards Conduct routine inspections to identify and correct safety hazards, sanitation gaps, and operational inefficiencies Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall plant performance Responsible for supervising and leading a unionized workforce in accordance with collective bargaining agreements and company policies. Maintain accurate production and sanitation records to support compliance and audit requirements Perform other duties as assigned by your manager/supervisor Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, food/beverage, or related environment Knowledge of GMPs, food safety standards, and OSHA regulations Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work overnight (3rd shift) and manage multiple priorities Work Environment Manufacturing/plant environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and cleaning chemicals Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting
