Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Water Operator and become a vital part of ensuring safe, clean, and reliable water and wastewater services. In this energetic role, you will operate, monitor, and maintain water treatment and distribution systems to meet regulatory standards and community needs. Your expertise will help sustain vital infrastructure, improve water quality, and support environmental stewardship. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply mechanical skills, technical knowledge, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment dedicated to public health and safety. Duties Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) to regulate water treatment processes efficiently. Conduct routine inspections and perform equipment repairs on pumps, valves, filters, and other treatment system components. Collect data on water quality parameters, system performance, and operational metrics for analysis and reporting. Manage heavy equipment operation including tankers for transporting water or wastewater as needed. Perform maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs, mechanical adjustments, and system troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation. Assist with construction projects related to water infrastructure upgrades or new installations. Monitor wastewater treatment processes to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards. Qualifications A valid D4 and S4 Operators License Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) used in water treatment facilities. Strong data collection and analysis skills to interpret operational metrics accurately. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment machinery responsibly. Basic math skills for calculations related to flow rates, chemical dosages, and system measurements. Knowledge of plumbing systems, water treatment processes, and wastewater management practices.

Prior experience with tankers or heavy equipment operation is a plus. Join us in delivering essential water services that make a difference every day!
