Job Description

Wage Based on Skill, Knowledge and Experience.
General Description:
Operate and control an entire process or system of machines, often through use of control boards, to transfer, or treat water or wastewater.
Position Responsibilities:
Maintain and perform minor repairs to equipment. Troubleshoot and reason through "if thens" during the operation of the systems making appropriate adjustments. Inspect equipment or monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges to determine load requirements and detect malfunctions. Collect and test water and sewage samples using test equipment and color analysis standards. Record operational data or meter and gauge readings on specified forms. Operate and adjust controls on equipment to purify and clarify water, process or dispose of sewage, and generate power. Maintain, repair, and lubricate equipment using hand tools and power tools. Clean and maintain tanks, filter beds, and other work areas using hand and power tools. Other duties as assigned. Education/Experience/Capabilities Requirements In-Person, regular attendance at the facility is necessary for the position. Must be self-motivated, able to work independently General mechanical aptitude Follow Mr. Chips policies and procedures
