Job Description

Are you an experienced Wastewater Operator or looking for a new career? PeopleService is hiring in the Litchfield, MN area! Our First District Association location has a newly built, state-of-the-art, industrial pre-treatment wastewater plant with Renewable Natural Gas upgrading facility.
PURPOSE:
To perform operations and maintenance of wastewater treatment/renewable natural gas facility in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, federal and contractual requirements .
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES
Ensures and performs a variety of skilled, technical, and administrative work in the operation, repair, maintenance and replacement of complex equipment and treatment processes, which can include but are not limited to: Responsible for safe, efficient, and effective operation and maintenance of facilities. Ensures plant(s) function to their optimum capabilities in compliance with state and federal regulations. Monitors, observes variations, and interprets the performance of all equipment, gauges, meters, control panels and charts to determine processing requirements. Performs operational and required tests and analysis of product in a safe, fair, and expeditious manner. Performs safe, preventative maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment. Updates and maintains records of completed maintenance. Maintains accurate records, reports and logging of all pertinent information required in wastewater treatment operations. Work includes preparation and submittal of necessary data and reports to other governmental agencies as required, Prepares and submits monthly operations and performance reports to region office and client as directed. Represents the company to other agencies and citizens with a courteous, helpful, accurate and business-like attitude; displays a commitment to PeopleService. Responds to customer/client complaints and resolves such compliances in a fair and expeditious manner. Orders, stores and accounts for chemicals, utilities, contract services, and other materials and supplies in the most cost-effective manner, including coding of invoices. Ensures the general maintenance of building(s), grounds and company equipment, including vehicles and tools is performed. Estimated pay $20-$30 Dependent on experience and certifications
REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent. When on call, responsible for weekend rounds and respond to after hour emergencies if they arise. Ability to obtain wastewater certification within 1 year. Clean driving record to operate company vehicles. Strong mechanical skills desired to repair related water/wastewater equipment, such as pumps, etc. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Attendance and punctuality are essential to this position. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize the workload.
