Job Description

Darigold is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety & Environmental Supervisor to support safety and environmental operations at our Bozeman location. This role ensures compliance with safety regulations, wastewater and stormwater permits, and environmental standards, while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Schedule:
Monday- Friday from 7:00am-2:30pm
Salary:
$65,174-$97,761 Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and support a strong safety culture through training, audits, and behavior-based safety programs
  • Ensure compliance with NPDES and Industrial Stormwater permits, including sampling, reporting, and corrective actions
  • Conduct site inspections, internal audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and drive corrective actions
  • Support incident investigations and implement root cause corrective actions
  • Maintain compliance with hazardous and universal waste regulations, including labeling, storage, and disposal
  • Monitor and report environmental compliance data using Darigold's EMS software
  • Assist with GHG emissions tracking and reporting under Washington's Climate Commitment Act
  • Coordinate maintenance and procurement for wastewater and lab equipment
  • Interface with regulatory agencies and local utilities as needed
  • Deliver safety and environmental training to employees at all levels
  • Respond to environmental and safety emergencies and support operational recovery
  • Collaborate with plant leadership to reduce waste, optimize downtime, and improve compliance performance
  • Other duties as assigned Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field preferred (relevant experience may substitute)
  • Level II Wastewater Certification preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in a production or process facility (dairy or beverage industry a plus)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and environmental compliance software
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and be on call 24/7
  • Experience with lab operations, data analysis, and regulatory reporting
