For over four decades, AWT has specialized in providing cost-effective and environmentally responsible wastewater and engineering solutions for residential, commercial, municipal, industrial, and agricultural industries. Our team focuses on practical problem-solving, strong client relationships, and delivering high-quality work built on sound scientific and engineering principles. As our company continues to grow, we are looking to add a motivated and dependable Wastewater Technician Inspector to our Raleigh-area operations. Pay $40,000-$50,000 annually depending on experience Additional compensation may be considered for candidates with prior certifications or directly related experience Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday Approximately 40 hours per week Hybrid-style work environment
Approximately:
70% field work 30% office/reporting responsibilities This position primarily services the greater Raleigh, NC area and surrounding locations within approximately a 50-mile radius. Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conducting well and septic inspections for home sale transactions and maintenance clients Preparing detailed inspection reports and documentation Communicating professionally with clients via phone and email Assisting with septic system layouts and field projects Supporting advanced treatment unit operations and septic startups Managing assigned daily workload and scheduling responsibilities Operating independently in the field while maintaining company standards Maintaining accurate records and timely reporting What We're Looking For We are looking for individuals who: Have a strong work ethic Enjoy working outdoors and staying active Are eager to learn and grow professionally Can work independently without constant supervision Are comfortable interacting directly with clients Want a long-term career opportunity with advancement potential This role is ideal for someone looking for a stable career path with hands-on training, independence, and growth opportunities. Qualifications Valid driver's license required High School Diploma or GED required Customer service or client-facing experience preferred Basic computer and Microsoft Office proficiency required Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Septic or wastewater experience preferred but not required Must be able to pass a background check No prior certifications are required to start. All necessary training, certifications, and continuing education related to the role are company provided.
