Wastewater Lead

Our client is seeking a Wastewater Lead for the daily operation and compliance of a full-scale process water and wastewater treatment system at a high-volume facility. You'll coordinate operators, maintain regulatory compliance, and work closely with maintenance and production to keep the system running at peak performance. What You'll Do Oversee daily operations of the wastewater treatment system, including process rounds, troubleshooting, and corrective action Direct daily priorities for PWT operators, balancing planned maintenance with emergent work Maintain compliance with NDPDES permit limits through a QA/QC program — sampling, chain of custody, recordkeeping, and equipment calibration Support Discharge Monitoring Report preparation with flow data and testing documentation Manage maintenance work orders through CMMS in partnership with maintenance and operations teams Drive a strong safety culture, ensuring adherence to LOTO, confined space, hot work, fall protection, chemical handling, and PPE standards Provide shift coverage as required, including call-outs and vacation relief What You Bring Hands-on experience with industrial water/wastewater treatment systems and associated equipment — centrifuge, belt press, clarifier, and/or low-rate anaerobic treatment preferred Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (NDPDES, NDDEQ) and documentation standards Experience leading operators or technicians in an industrial environment Strong QA/QC fundamentals — sampling, recordkeeping, chain of custody Comfortable using CMMS for work order management and PM tracking Practical knowledge of safety programs: LOTO, confined space, hot work, chemical handling High school diploma required; post-secondary education or certifications in water/wastewater treatment a strong asset Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in variable temperatures, at elevation when required Why This Role Stable, permanent position with a well-established company known for operational discipline and investment in their people Collaborative environment with strong cross-functional support from maintenance, production, and quality teams Competitive compensation and benefits package Relocation Assistance provided Interested?
