As a Process Control Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance of our wastewater treatment systems. This is skilled work participating in the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plant equipment and facilities. This role blends operational expertise, analytical thinking, and leadership to ensure wastewater treatment processes operate efficiently, effectively, and in full regulatory compliance. What You'll Do Develop and implement control strategies to optimize wastewater treatment processes Monitor and adjust activated sludge, anaerobic digestion, biogas, and biosolids processes to maintain performance Modify process setpoints and take corrective action during abnormal or emergency conditions Utilize SCADA systems and field observations to monitor equipment and instrumentation Perform routine and corrective maintenance on process equipment and instruments Collect, analyze, and manage operational data to support process control and performance assessment Assist with regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with all applicable standards Perform supplemental Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator duties as needed Provide guidance and direction to subordinate staff in process operations and maintenance Maintain required certifications, complete ongoing training, and support continuous improvement efforts
Work Hours:
Sunday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Minimum Requirements Graduation from high school or equivalent At least two years of college-level or technical school course work in environmental science, environmental engineering or related fields Two years of experience in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment facility Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills may be considered.
