Job Description
Wastewater Treatment Operator The North Conway Water Precinct is seeking an Operator within the wastewater department. This individual will work under the Chief Operator to perform tasks related to wastewater treatment and sewer collection. The ideal person will have experience in heavy construction, plumbing, or other related mechanical trades or maintenance, but the most important qualities are a strong work ethic, focus on quality, and willingness to learn. Class B Commercial Driver's License is required within 6 months of hire, with full training provided by NCWP. This position is also encouraged to obtain NHDES Wastewater Treatment and NEWEA Sewer Collections Operator certification with the support of the Precinct. In addition, the following qualities are highly valued: Strong work ethic and team-first attitude A focus on quality of work Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Willingness to perform physically demanding labor Experience operating heavy equipment This is an hourly position with a pay range of $25.00 - $39.50 per hour depending on qualifications, with benefits. Advancement in pay grades is clearly defined based on the employee's willingness and ability to obtain training and licenses.
