Job Description

Greenville, NH:
Water Superintendent The Town of Greenville, NH is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Water Superintendent. Applicants should have a current NHDES Water Treatment, Grade 3 or higher, and a Distribution License (or be able to obtain certification through intra-state reciprocity). Certification as a Wastewater Operator is a plus. Position requires participation in an on-call rotation, with some night, weekend, and overtime work required. Pay is commensurate with certification level and experience: Range $42.00 - $50.00/hour.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Greenville Water Superintendent serves as the primary operator for operation and maintenance of the Town's surface water treatment facility, while also supporting and participating in the Town's wastewater operations. Specific duties will include, but are not limited to, maintenance of all physical treatment plant facilities, emergency response, process monitoring, and laboratory testing, as well as record keeping duties including data collection, organization, and retention. Supervision of staff, ensuring adherence to all Federal, State, and local safety regulations. Administrative duties will include, for example, required submissions to NH DES, vendor quotes/ordering, submission of invoices, etc.
DESIRED SKILLS AND TRAITS
The ideal candidates will have 5+ years-experience in the operation of water treatment facilities (surface water treatment is a plus), including an ability to learn, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems, and have Scada and/or controls systems familiarity. Ability to use technology, and associated applications; Understanding of water treatment mathematics, ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
