Job Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
High School Diploma or GED Certificate. Achieve within 3 years of employment, Level 1 Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) certifications or equal as Water Operator (treatment and distribution) and Wastewater Operator (collection and treatment) is required. Valid Driver's License, CDL Learner's Permit or CDL Class "A" with Hazmat Endorsement (subject to motor vehicle record review). Required to obtain a CDL Class "A" with Hazmat Endorsement within 6 months from date of employment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
Operators must have knowledge, skill, and ability for the comprehension, application, and/or analysis of elements within the following:
WATER TREATMENT
Monitor, Evaluate, and Adjust Treatment Processes Laboratory Analysis Comply with Drinking Water Regulations Operate and Maintain Equipment Perform Security, Safety, and Administrative Procedures Evaluate Characteristics of Source Water
WATER DISTRIBUTION
System Information/Components Monitor, Evaluate, and Adjust Disinfection Laboratory Analysis Install Equipment Operate Equipment Perform Maintenance Perform Security, Safety, and Administrative Procedures
WASTEWATER COLLECTION
Operate Equipment Evaluate and Maintain Equipment Maintain and Restore Collection System Maintain Lift Stations Monitor, Evaluate, and Adjust Collection System Perform Security, Safety, and Administrative Procedures
WASTEWATER TREATMENT
