We are a privately owned, Water Treatment company focused on treating and servicing the NJ, DE and NYC metropolitan area for over 20 years. As an industry leader for Legionella Compliance - we regularly work with the DOH (Department of Health).
Job Description:
As a Service Technician, you will be expected to service the NYC Metro area, and some occasional servicing in the Philadelphia Metro area (vehicle provided). You will provide support and work directly with account managers to: diagnose problems, perform repairs, and maintain equipment. Technicians are expected to have strong problem-solving skills and be able to work well in a team. Experience working in Water Treatment, Chemical Treatment/Engineering, or Legionella strongly preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Performing repairs, diagnostics, and/or general maintenance of equipment at assigned Account/Territory and other various sites within the city (as required). This includes electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc. Installing and/or Maintaining instrument calibration, monitor controls, chemical pumps, tanks, etc. Troubleshooting and routine maintenance/repairs of electrical, mechanical and control for motors, controllers, and pumps. Resolution of difficult non-routine problems, as well as routine issues, in a timely manner with appropriate urgency. Maintain and Document a Preventive Maintenance Program. Perform all routine cooling tower and boiler equipment maintenance to ensure equipment quality and functionality. Maintain accurate and timely records of equipment, including repair history and service reporting. Communicate effectively with Clients, Internal Office Staff and Account Managers about equipment maintenance, needed service for accounts, repairs, and any other needed information. Maintain a clean and organized work space (company vehicle, warehouse, work sites, etc.). Follow all company procedures and safety policies.
Requirements & Qualifications:
2+ years (min) of experience in either Water Treatment Services or Related Engineering Field. Good driving record (must be able to drive when needed). Live in the NYC/Metro area to arrive early for service of accounts, repairs, or equiptment maintenance ( preferred ). Strong time management skills - most account service will be expected to start between 7-8AM EST. Knowledge of plumbing , including PVC and Copper Press piping. Comfortable performing minor electrical fixes on controllers, tools and equipment. Knowledge of handling hazardous chemicals. Ability and willingness to occasionally provide support to logistics. Strong communication skills across departments and customer service. Proficiency using basic computer systems - (email, service reporting, documentation, etc.). Reliable, timely, and consistent. Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace. Technical certification or degree preferred ( not required ). Must posses a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
