Job Description

JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE
Operator II is responsible for regulatory compliant operation of the wastewater treatment plant facility. The Operator shall perform cleaning, lubricating, inspecting, adjusting, and making minor repairs to the wastewater treatment plant equipment. The Operator shall properly collect, analyze, preserve and document custody of plant samples. The Operator must have a B level license or above, or at minimum, 5 years of experience in this field.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports or mitigates non-compliant and/or unsafe conditions Receives and provides technical direction, assistance and training to other personnel. Performs inspections, submits work order requests, completes paperwork to track work orders. Ensures that all samples are collected, analyzed and properly documented. Ensure that preventive maintenance schedules are executed. Ensures that all SOPs are followed and that we are 100% regulatory compliant. Makes recommendations for improving SOPs and JSA's. Takes on Lead Operator responsibilities in the absence of the Lead Operator Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED and two years Wastewater Treatment Plant experience.
Licenses/Certifications:
Valid Driver's License (Class B CDL preferred) and maintains insurable driving record. Level B or C Wastewater Operator and Wastewater Lab license .
Technical:
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications & internet; Ability to work with basic office equipment & phone systems; Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and Utility SOPs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to: frequently lift 50-60 pounds; load, unload & move large equipment/tools; access confined spaces; continuously walk and climb stairs and ladders
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
