Job Description

Job Summary:
The potable and waste water truck operator is responsible for operating potable and grey water trucks to safely transport and deliver resources between sites. Personnel must be able to operate the class of vehicles they're licensed for, attend to delivery and maintenance details, and apply critical thinking principles to determine routes and make other decisions throughout their work.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate commercial motor vehicles to transport, service equipment, and ensure timely delivery while complying with federal, state, and DOT regulations
  • Ensure tankers and hoses remain sanitary in compliance with all health codes, FDA and EPA guidelines to prevent water contamination
  • Connect and disconnect hoses, operate valves and pumps, and monitor pressure gages to fill and unload water from holding tanks, portable sinks, or shower units
  • Conduct pre/post-trip inspections, secure cargo, maintain driving logs, and perform routine vehicle maintenance
  • Loading, unloading, and securely fastening cargo to prevent damage
  • Reporting all vehicle-related issues for urgent attention
  • Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel efficiency and minimizing downtime
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe driving practices
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • A valid Commercial Driver's License with necessary endorsements-Tanker Endoresement Required
  • Clean driving record with no history of major accidents or traffic violations
  • Possession of valid TWIC Card preferred
  • Must be able to work late nights and unpredictable hours in various weather conditions
  • Capacity to work away from home for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of verifiable commercial driving experience
Pay:
$50.00 per hour
